This ice cold grape and strawberry juice is my new favorite Summer drink.
You can make this with only five ingredients and 5 minutes of preparation.
I’ve only tried this grape and strawberry juice in a Vitamix.
In a standard blender, I would recommend adding the ingredients in the same order, because the only liquid is the juice from the lime.
Since this strawberry grape juice is made with fresh grapes, you will want to make this recipe in the Summer and Fall months. I can usually find fresh red and green grapes May through January.
The strawberry grape juice tastes different with only red or only green grapes. The combination of the two helps this juice have the perfect punch of flavor.
This strawberry grape juice is
an eggless breakfast
high in Vitamin C
1 fresh lime, juiced
2 cups green grapes, rinsed
2 cups red grapes, rinsed
2 cups frozen whole strawberries, about 14
2 cups ice cubes, about 12–16
Blend lime juice, grapes, strawberries, and ice cubes in a Vitamin on low to medium for one-two minutes.
I used a dry measuring cup to measure the grapes, strawberries, and ice cubes.
Blend the smoothie in the order given in the directions.
To reduce the amount of foam on top of the juice you can 1) keep the Vitamix on a lower speed and then gradually increase the speed 2) don’t over blend the juice (I find that the longer you blend the juice, the more foam you see)
If you want to blend the smoothie thoroughly, so you don’t taste any of the grape skin, increase the speed up to 10 at the very end.
