I’m so in love with my vegan dessert cookbook by Heather Saffer.
I Know. I know. Another vegan cookbook. Everyone is finding free recipes on Pinterest.
But, here is the thing. There is just something special about opening up a book and knowing that you love all the recipes. They are consistently perfection when they hit your mouth. And, just like a novel, cookbooks take you on a journey that you will never forget. For me, this book gave me the answer that I needed so I could finally stop eating desserts with dairy and led me to the best vegan frosting on the market, Dollop Gourmet.
And, if you need easy gluten-free vegan desserts, this is the book for you.
Why I love Crazy Easy Vegan Desserts Cookbook:
The author teaches us about the easiest replacements for eggs, milk, and butter if you want to try substituting those ingredients for other recipes.
Heather recommends specific products for ingredients that are easy to find which is perfect if you are starting a vegan lifestyle.
Many of the recipes require less than ten ingredients which reduces the overall cost.
My favorite recipe is the double chocolate crispy rice donuts. I’ve made them every week since the book was released.
I recommend using 2-mini donut pans which will yield 12 mini donuts. And, I recommend turning off the heat as you mix in the rice cereal.
Heather recommends the hot chocolate vegan frosting. I’ve tried all of Dollop Gourmets vegan frosting flavors, and they are just heaven. The frosting is soy-free, non-GMO, gluten-free, and of course vegan.
